Strømstangen AS is a privately owned investment firm focusing on long-term value creation through direct engagement as an active owner. The company has a broad investment portfolio, including Nordic equities, fixed-income securities, direct investments, private equity and real estate.

Investments

Strømstangen holds a focused and actively managed portfolio of listed equities in the Nordic markets. We seek to invest in quality companies that can deliver stable growth and generate substantial cash flow over time.

Listed Equities

Strømstangen seeks to invest in carefully selected companies where we can add value through active ownership. In these investments, we engage in companies’ strategic decisions and operational execution in partnership with management, and other owners.

Active Ownership

Strømstangen has historically played a central role in developing the Nordic private equity market. We continue to utilize this knowledge by holding a substantial and well-diversified portfolio of quality Private Equity funds, primarily focusing on buy-out funds and selected early-stage funds.

Private Equity

Strømstangen actively manages a bond portfolio of Nordic companies with limited credit risk and attractive risk/return profiles. Our allocation to fixed income investments is variable and reflects our liquidity and volatility preferences.

Fixed Income

Strømstangen holds positions in selected niche investment funds along with our actively managed portfolios. These externally managed positions include fixed income, real estate, non-Nordic securities, venture and hedge funds.

Investment Funds

Strømstangen holds a combination of direct real estate investments, holdings in real estate funds and listed real estate companies. Our real estate holdings are primarily located in Norway and other Nordic countries.
